New Oil and emerging chefs

ROME, NOVEMBER 20, 2013

EVENING DEDICATED TO HIGH-QUALITY EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL OF THIS HARVEST. LET’S DISCOVER TOGETHER THE “NEW” OIL, STRONG AND DECISIVE, JUST AS IT COMES OUT OF THE MILL AND OBTAINED FROM THE VARIOUS OLIVE VARIETIES TYPICAL OF THE MANY ITALIAN PRODUCTION AREAS.

Let’s discover together the new oil! Confagricoltura organizes, in its headquarters at Palazzo della Valle, on Wednesday, November 20, at 6:00 pm, a special evening dedicated to high-quality extra virgin oils of this harvest. Among the participants, also Terre di Grifonetto.

The olive sector, for its dynamism, tradition, and economic importance, has always been one of the most important in our agriculture and one of the most relevant in terms of companies and areas involved. The richness of Italian olive growing is also demonstrated by the numerous varieties present in the territory and the important international awards obtained by our oils.

To enhance the new oil, with its strong and decisive flavor and intense aromas, just as it comes out of the mill, nothing better than soups, which will be interpreted by three emerging chefs for the occasion, “young promises” like the new oils, who will bring to Rome the typicality and tradition of their territories:

  • Alessandro Dal Degan – La Tana, Asiago;
  • Marco Martini – Stazione di Posta, Rome;
  • Vito Giannuzzi – Masseria Torre Maizza, Savelletri di Fasano – BR.

  • Donato Rossi – President of the National Olive Growing Federation of Confagricoltura.The evening will be moderated by the food and wine journalist Luigi Cremona.

Eataly celebrates Umbria in its New York store! Throughout the month of November, events, tastings, and cooking classes will be organized, offering a selection of the best products from Umbrian gastronomy.

Nocciola Day 2013, Carlo Magno Restaurant Cannara

On December 15, 2013, on the occasion of Nocciola Day, there will be a dinner featuring Italian hazelnuts paired with traditional Umbrian dishes, where extra virgin olive oil from Terre di Grifonetto remains an essential element to enhance the flavors and aromas that reign supreme in great cuisine.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 8:00 PM, at the Embassy of Italy in Berlin, Terre di Grifonetto will participate in an exclusive evening featuring the finest agri-food products made in Italy, presented by the renowned German chef Sarah Wiener.

During the evening, Sarah Wiener, a prestigious chef in Germany, will reinterpret recipes from Italian and German cuisine using Italian agricultural and food products, including the extra virgin olive oil from Terre di Grifonetto.

Eataly New York, promotion of Umbrian agri-food excellences

The Umbria Month in NYC portal dedicated to promoting some Umbrian agri-food excellences that will be presented at Eataly’s store on 5th Avenue in New York is now online. Throughout November 2012, promotional activities, tastings, cooking classes, and focuses on Umbrian products such as wine, extra virgin olive oil, legumes, truffles, and more will be organized.

Promocard Frecciarossa, October 2012

Terre di Grifonetto is among the protagonists of the FRECCIAROSA project. Throughout the month of October 2012, the Frecciarosa/AIDDA promocard will be distributed to female travelers on the Frecce trains, allowing them to benefit from discounts at the participating companies. From September 27 to 30, 2012, the event “I Primi d’Italia” will take place in Foligno: the first and only National Festival of First Courses featuring new villages with unexplored flavors, street food, cooking shows by Michelin-starred chefs, and much more.
